Xpansa participated in CeBIT 2014. This exhibition gave us so much contacts, questions from visitor, understanding of global events and new ideas that’s why we decided to devote full issue of Xpansa Magazine to the global technology movement called CeBIT.

Our personal revelation: attitude of being exhibitor changed dramatically. Normally we like to be extremely productive, do things that produce best outcome, implement only those marketing activities that will bring big and tasty fruits. That is not about the ads on TV for b2b company (sorry, BBC) and definitely not about being exhibitor.

Those old style channels require hell of a money, company representatives and actions should be planned and calculated to give results, so normally that is where companies throw money out and result is near zero. Everybody knows that. We knew that. And we went there)

Reason was going as one of the biggest OpenERP partner that can bring fresh air to corporate strategy in ERP deployment. So what did change our mindset after 5 days of nonstop talking? CeBIT is so huge and focused on IT that even 0.01% conversion visitor to lead will make sales department loaded at least 6 months forward and quality of the leads is high.

Big exhibition is usually hosted in buildings of the football stadium size. CeBIT occupied 17 such buildings. People from all over the world is coming just to find out the answers on their questions and not to just look at fancy things because there are almost none of them. Personally I found only cool drones in one of the halls and that’s it. The visitor who are coming for the info and conversations are there to express their specific business needs and get technology answer from experts, to select new tools for their companies and to find reliable partners. This is such a business and technology minded event so if you know what is the propose, be there to do that.

Xpansa presented new vision on corporate IT when even large enterprises can go with open source solutions and become fast and flexible. We got numerous questions and had a lot of discussions on this topic. Will try to cover the most interesting ones in this issue of magazine. Please, be our guests and read more.
