Odoo prerequisites

Normally Sale Order is used in Odoo to initiate outbound warehouse jobs. As soon as Sale Order is created there is an ability to monitor warehouse jobs processing via “View Delivery Order” button. In current configuration of warehouse we have two transfers created.

Standard Outgoing Shippings in Odoo:

  • Ship directly from stock (Ship only)

  • Bring goods to output location before shipping (Pick + Ship)

  • Make packages into a dedicated location, then bring them to the output location for shipping (Pick + Pack + Ship)

The case below describes Pick + Ship as most standard for mid-warehouse configuration.

The outbound workflow consists of two steps (in current two-steps warehouse configuration): Pick and Delivery. As soon as Picking is done Delivery Order will be automatically created.

The picking is about locating particular physical locations with goods and moving them to output area. Since we know particular locations (proposed by Odoo – Check Availability button) we are to start from ToDo menu and selecting particular locations/products to be scanned/confirmed.

Scan the location and the product to confirm that you are taking correct items from the stock.

The location and the product are confirmed.

An alternative case could be when you cannot move all the items at the same time. Simply type quantity you are moving and click on confirm button. Items that were not moved will remain in the ToDo list (299 of 300 items were moved, 1 item left in ToDo).

Product successfully transferred. Do the same way for all remaining products.
